Missing addends

I am able to use the magnets to help my students build foundations and connections. Students in my lower grades can see how differing addends can have the same total value which really helps with problems like: 5+6=8+?

Math Stackers are phenomenal!

I use Math Stackers throughout the school year in kindergarten. They are phenomenal and are truly helpful in building a solid concept of numeracy! Composing and decomposing numbers can often be a challenging concept for kindergarteners. Math Stackers help my students to grasp this concept much more easily. With the 1:1 correspondence for the magnets and the blocks, my students can truly see why 3 and 2 are 5, for example.
